Sypnosis:

Zheng Zekai (played by Zheng Runqi), a young man from Chaoshan, has been working hard in Shenzhen for many years and meets Lu Jingshan (played by Lu Shan), a girl from Hangzhou. The two date for two years and are planning to get married when their love is at its peak. However, Zekai knows that it will be difficult to get his mother (played by Zhong Shaoxian) in his hometown of Shantou to accept Jingshan because Jingshan is from another province and has been married before. His mother keeps finding him a partner and even arranges for someone to come to Shenzhen to meet him. Zekai finally decides to get married to Jingshan and take her home to face his mother. The story revolves around a traditional Chaoshan mother's journey from opposing her son's relationship to changing herself for love, showing the collision and reconciliation between generational concepts and modern views on marriage and love in traditional Chaoshan families.
